Brad Jones is the Superintendent of FCS and, therefore, manages all aspects of our school. Being led by God into the field of education in 1986, he has faithfully served FCS for over thirty years.
Welcome to Fayetteville Christian School, possibly the most unique school in the country and, perhaps, the world. Since 1978, Fayetteville Christian School has provided residents of Northwest Arkansas and beyond an affordable, Christian education because of the sacrifice of volunteerism of its staff. Over ninety percent of our staff are volunteers, with no financial remuneration. This sacrifice stems from their love for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Although our staff are volunteers, they still possess the educational requirements for the school to be fully accredited by the Arkansas Nonpublic School Accrediting Association. We have traditional classrooms, and we utilize mostly the ABEKA and Bob Jones Press curriculums.
I’ve had the privilege to lead this ministry for over thirty years. It’s easy to lead people who follow Christ. The staff’s desire is to see our children come to know Christ as their Savior and follow Him as their Lord.
Our campus is located in a safe and tranquil residential area of Fayetteville. Because we have no debt and very low operating costs, we are able to accept students from families who ordinarily could not consider or afford a private education for their children.
If you are considering Christian education for your children, I invite you to come to visit our campus to see for yourself what God is doing at Fayetteville Christian School.
Brad Jones, M.Ed.
I was born in Kirkland, Washington, a suburb of Seattle, in an idyllic, stable, family environment. I had the privilege to attend one of the most prestigious secondary schools in the Northwest. From the outside I had the perfect life, but I was empty – my life had no purpose. Nothing could fill the void that was in my heart. I knew I was not right with God, but I was ignorant of the truth of the gospel of grace.
Eager to reinvent myself, I left Seattle to attend the University of Arkansas in 1978. During my freshman year, I came to truly understand and accept the gospel of Jesus Christ. God led me to the field of education, where I earned two bachelor’s degrees: one in History and one in Social Studies Education. I went on to earn a master’s degree in Educational Administration.
Having volunteered at Fayetteville Christian School during my college years, it became my prayer and desire to teach at Fayetteville Christian School. The Lord answered my prayer in 1986, when I was called to the ministry at Mission Boulevard Baptist Church and was subsequently ordained for the work of the ministry at Fayetteville Christian School.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege to be a bus driver, janitor, coach, athletic director, assistant food service coordinator, maintenance man, and teacher of many different classes – all while being the superintendent of the school. I’m proof of the old adage “If you love what you do for a living, you will never work a day in your life.” I love being a part of the Fayetteville Christian School.
